Aamra Networks Limited, a frontrunner in the ICT solutions and services sector in Bangladesh, has been honored at the 10th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence, 2022. The event, organized by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB), commended companies for their significant contribution to corporate governance, transparency, and accountability.
The gala took place at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, celebrating firms that showed exemplary compliance with the Corporate Governance Code of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) during 2022. This year’s ceremony revolved around the theme ‘Promoting Governing Excellence’.
Among the luminaries in attendance were Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, who joined the event virtually, and Tapan Kanti Ghosh, the senior secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. They both emphasized the essential role of company secretaries in bolstering good governance within the corporate sector and praised the ICSB’s initiative in elevating the skills and standards of Chartered Secretaries in the country.
Mr. Md Nojibur Rahman, Chairman of the Capital Market Stabilization Fund (CMSF) and former principal secretary to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, accentuated the importance of such events in fostering awareness about the pillars of good governance, transparency, and corporate responsibility.
Syed Farhad Ahmed, Managing Director of Aamra Networks Limited, and Syed Moniruzzaman, Group Company Secretary, were present to receive the award on behalf of the company, marking a significant moment of pride and recognition for the entire aamra family.
